10 new characters will be released with Menace of the Underdark, and more Epic Destinies will be had in the future as they are being developed now. The power has grown over the 6 years we’ve waited to have another go at Lolth. Players can unlock one of 50 new abilities to try this undertaking, but the new twist is the gameplay will dictate just how successful one is. This is no ‘gotta collect them all’ in a race of fetching, no this involves strategy and pure tactics.
The Drow are strong in this one, and Turbine is betting on their fans to expand the genre of players- from hardcore fans to readers’ experience of the Drow ranger in R.A. Salvatore and his Forgotten Realms Fiction. Lolth has cast her Demonweb pits in every offshoot and version of D&D available, with her silky strands being a standing menace to the World of Greyhawk.
On June 25th, players can use the new Druid class alongside the Epic Destinies as tools to attempt defeat of Lolth and the Drow. A tip os to pick up Epic enhancements from level 20-25. The Demon Queen of Spiders will not be easy to conquer once past the Underdark and through the Demonweb into her evil lair.
A new highlight will be the ability to adventure in the Forgotten Realms, the most popular realm in Dungeons and Dragons. As a first.
