Good: As Age of Conan was originally a premium title, the graphics are of the highest quality. Combine that with the highly innovative approach to combat, a huge array of PvE content and fast-paced PvP, this could possibly be one of the greatest MMORPG games you'll ever play
Bad: Having a fully voiced beginning set the bar for the rest of the game, only to disappoint once you leave Tortuga. The lack of voice-overs and detailed quests can damage your game experience slightly
Age of Conan is a MMORPG game based on the hugely popular Conan franchise, a franchise that originated in 1932, and has since spawned a large number of blockbuster movies, dozens of books and films, and finally, a free to play MMORPG game of the highest quality. Age of Conan originally launched as a premium title but has since transferred to a free to play model, offering players the chance to explore the beautifully crafted world of Hyboria for free.

Age of Conan’s most innovative feature it the action-orientated combat system. This is a boast many of today’s MMORPG Games make, but in Age of Conan, it’s true. You don’t simply tab-target an enemy and then let your auto-attack finish them off, Age of Conan gives you total control over every swing of your sword. When attacking with a sword you can choose which angle to attack from, avoiding your opponents defenses to achieve maximum damage, this unique feature adds a skill element unlike anything you’ll see in other MMO games. Maybe you consider yourself more of a spell caster or a ranger? Age of Conan caters to every player adding skill elements to all forms of combat, giving rangers the choice of targeting manually for extra damage, and spell casters the ability to chain or combine spells for maximum effect.
Whether you’re the type of player that likes to lead a guild or join one as a member, Age of Conan provides one of the most activity field guild systems ever seen in a Fantasy MMORPG. Age of Conan utilizes an in-depth crafting system that not only allows players to craft traditional items such as weapons and armor, but also much bigger projects relating to city construction. Each guild can send it’s members out to complete quests, defeat monsters and participate in PvP, earning the guild Renown points. Renown can be spent on upgrading the guild city to include an exciting array of features such as Temples and City Walls. Although building the cities is great fun, the best aspect is the involvement of large-scale PvP sieges. Opposing guilds can declare war, and then attempt to defeat a guild at their castle, creating awesome PvP battles with more intensity than a real-life firefight.
Age of Conan provides far more depth than just the features listed above, such as a fully voiced tutorial experience, unique mounted combat and a huge variety of quests and other PvE related activities, making Age of Conan one of the most expansive free to play MMORPG games available.
