Battle Dawn
Good: For a browser-based MMORTS without subscription fee, Battledawn does boast an impressive selection of mechanics and a highly in-depth background story and game lore.
Bad: If you're used to high quality, graphical based RTS games you may feel Battledawn is a little lackluster in the graphical department. Although the images are of a high quality, they're not fully animated so it can feel a little slow.
Battle Dawn is a free, online MMORTS game that is built entirely through flash. This means that players can explore the vast expanse of Battle Dawn without the need of a large client download or subscription fee. You start your journey as the leader of a small colony where you are responsible for the expansion and management of the colony. Will you rule with an iron fist or will you spread your influence through diplomacy? The choice is up to you in Battle Dawn.
Battle Dawn Review
Battle Dawn takes place in a new world that has been placed under threat by the fall of governments and traditional politics. Every player is given their own colony that they must manage and improve to flourish into a new world. There are many areas of management that you’ll have to consider if you want to become feared. You’ll have to construct and upgrade a huge variety of buildings to offer your colony more benefits.
You’ll also be in charge of training and improving an army to drive fear into the hearts of your enemies. There’s a good selection of units available, each of which bring something a little different to your attacking might. Strategical players will need to be able to balance their forces while countering the forces your enemy has, creating a tactical based combat system.
That’s not all, you’ll have to make sure that you’re also able to balance your economy. Gathering and holding resources, while ensuring your colony doesn’t rebel are just one of the extra responsibilities placed on the leaders of colonies.
