Battlefield Heroes
Good: The best aspect of Battlefield Heroes is the vehicular combat. Whether you engage in plane vs. plane dogfights, or you try to pick off that infantry filled jeep with your tank, every vehicle has its uses and each requires a skilled player to operate to full efficiency.
Bad: Battlefield Heroes includes a large array of weapons and equipment to customize your character, but a lot of these are restricted as item mall only purchases. It doesn't really break the game, but players are offered a lot more choice and customization if they choose to invest in their character.
Battlefield Heroes is a MMOTPS (third-person shooter) developed by Electronic Arts and published on the Play4Free MMO portal. Battlefield Heroes is a cartoon themed game that combines various features and mechanics from the popular Battlefield franchise and melds them perfectly with cartoon-like graphics and humorous character and class designs. Whether you want a casual shoot ‘em up experience or you want to climb the ranks of one of the most popular free to play shooting games available, there’s features for everyone in Battlefield Heroes.
Battlefield Heroes Review
Similar to the other Battlefield games, Battlefield Heroes offers players three classes to choose from. The available classes are Gunner, Solider and Commando. It’s common for MMOFPS and MMOTPS to use these systems nowadays, but Battlefield Heroes separates its classes using an exciting selection of abilities. Commandos are the sniper class of the game and can use skills to turn them invisible or do devastating amounts of damage in one hit. The Soldier is an all-round class that can also double up as support using abilities such as Combat Medicine, a skill that heals all nearby allies. The final class, Gunners, are the main damage class. They can use extreme abilities such as “I Eat Grenade, a unique skill that allows them to consume all incoming grenades to refill their HP.
As you play through matches and earn experience points, you’ll also earn Hero Points for your character. Hero Points are used to level your characters individual abilities, all abilities are available as soon as you create your character, but you must choose which ones you want to improve and which ones you don’t wish to use.
As well as an innovative class system setup, Battlefield Heroes is also home to an exciting selection of vehicles. Players can engage in vehicular combat both on the ground and in the air, using planes, tanks and jeeps. This creates intense matches where players have to watch out for enemy infantry, daring pilots and skilled drivers, all while trying to capture various control points around the map.
Overall, Battlefield Heroes is the perfect game for Battlefield fans if they’re looking for something a little less serious and it easily competes for the top spot in the MMOTPS genre.
