CABAL Online
Good: The most appealing aspects to CABAL Online are the combat and story features. Combat is fast and fluid, offering intense hack 'n' slash fighting against a massive variety of monsters and unlike other free RPG games, CABAL Online provides players with an intricate story filled with cut-scenes and plot twists.
Bad: The only real negative aspect to CABAL Online are the graphics. The game was originally released back in 2005, and although the graphics were of the highest quality back then, they've not kept up with the more graphical MMO titles released today.
Nevareth was once a utopia, a world filled with various races and wonders of nature living alongside one another in peace. The CABAL, a group of powerful men, ruled over Nevareth with justice and truth until one fateful day when nature decided to strike back. For too long had man plagued the world of Nevareth, for too long have humans raped the world of natural resources and the planet struck back with so many disasters it eventually led to the apocalypse, turning the one peaceful world of Nevareth into a wasteland. The CABAL order was all but wiped out and was only survived by 8 of the original members, including their leader Faust. Faust had the rare ability to see into the future, and the future of Nevareth was once again thrown into turmoil as Faust predicted a relentless evil was quickly approaching the land. The CABAL order needed a new hero to bring the Nevareth back to it’s former glory, that hero is you.
CABAL Online Review
CABAL Online was one of the first free online RPG games to offer action-based combat, providing players with intense hack ‘n’ slash action unlike anything seen in previous MMO titles. Instead of using the traditional tab-targeting technique, CABAL Online offers skilled-based combat that revolves around the timing of skills, rather than just damage versus defense. The majority of your skills, even auto-attacks, all have a certain AoE function, allowing skilled players to attack multiple enemies with a single swipe of their weapon.
Another great aspect to CABAL Online is the thrilling story. All quests take place in thriving environments filled with detailed NPC characters and monsters, and a large portion of the quests feature some kind of involvement in the main story plot. You can expect to experience enticing cut-scenes and numerous plot twists, providing one of the most story driven experiences available in a free RPG game.
CABAL Online may be getting a little long in the tooth but it still stands proudly as an innovator of the MMORPG game genre. The unique approach to combat, combined with the innovative story involvement mechanics makes CABAL Online a must play RPG for any of you combat fans out there.
