DDTank
DDTank is arguably one of the most innovative titles to emerge from the developer studios over at Aeria Games. It’s not your typical MMO title. Stepping away from the regular quest hubs, dungeon crawls and monster grind, DDTank offers players a riveting turn-based combat experience that can be compared to classics such as Worms and Hogs of War.
DDTank Review
Despite the fact DDTanks keeps well away from your typical MMO quest set up, there are still tasks and achievements available for players to complete in-game. There’s dozens of quests and tasks that are renewed each day, offering players a variety of challenges with some great rewards and experience points on offer. These tasks and quests stretch over both the PvE and PvP functions of the game, offering both sets of players the same opportunity to progress and improve.
The turn-based combat is easily one of the most engaging features in DDTanks. Unlike regular MMO combat you’re not just simply sitting there for hours mashing your hot-keys until they’re worn through. Instead players must combine a tactical mind with in-game skill to thoroughly enjoy the experience. Every move and attack is vital so players will have to choose their weapons carefully before taking aim and letting loose. A simple miscalculation in distance or angle and you may just find yourself blowing up friendlies.
If you’re a fan of some of the more classic turn-based combat titles, such as the Worms franchise, you’ll feel right at home in DDTanks. It brings the turn-based games to the MMO genre with a bang, pop and kaboom. The huge variety of weapons means players are able to test new strategies and attack plans every match, honing their skills to become one of the most feared players in the PvP circuit.
