Developers Lose Trademark Of “The War Z”
After countless allegations of fraud and misinformation, supported by claims of copyright infringement and fake screenshots, many thought The War Z was about as low as it could go, but they were wrong. The War Z’s woes continue to grow over the festive period as it has just been announced that the developers have lost the right to trademark their game name due to a close similarity with the upcoming blockbuster, World War Z.
It’s starting to become even more of a joke than Sergey Titov’s PR abilities. The game has been totally hounded by players and critics alike with hundreds flocking to MetaCritic to destroy the games reputation via user reviews. The game also recently made the headlines after it was removed from Steam due to the complete lies that were featured on the Store Page on Steam.
The developers have been given ample opportunity to redeem themselves via interviews with popular gaming outlets but each has been met with more negative publicity due to the inapt approach of Sergey Titov, the games Senior Producer.
I once asked a question, long ago, could it get any worse for The War Z? Well it has and it can probably still get worse before it gets better. For more information on the legal side of things you can check the official document here.
