Dota 2: Last new Heroes before The International
Dota 2 updated again this week with the usual addition of new heroes and a new game feature. Don’t get too cozy with new heroes every week though, as this batch is the last addition to the roster until The International happens in a little over a month. The Dota 2 staff want to use this time to hammer out what few bugs remain, and want to have a fixed roster for competing teams to practice with.
The three newest heroes added feature an old fan favorite re-done for the second rendition of Dota: The Nerubian Assassin. Now flying under the name of the Nyx Assassin, this hero still features the classic abilities that made it so good: Spikes to harm attackers, stealth to dodge away and stalk down a foe, and a mana burn to harm the foe and make them unable to use abilities back.
Next is Visage, The Necro’lic. Visage does what most necromancers does, as he summons familiars to slay his foes for him. These additional spawns can be turned into kamikaze minions with another of his abilities –stone form – is used. Visage also does one the best things in the game, as he has an aura to leech the movement and attack speeds off enemies.
Finally we have Elazor, and he is far more than just an old man on a horse. Touted as being a superb lane pusher, featuring cc in the form of an aoe blind and allied support in the form of a passive to retore mana to nearby allies as well, Elazor is sure to be pushing lanes in games all day.
