Forsaken World Review
Forsaken World features one of the most expansive character creation systems that you’ll ever come across in a free MMO title. There are 5 distinct races available including Dwarves, Elves, Human, Stoneman and Kindred, each of which has their own questing areas, unique racial abilities and varied appearance options. As well as the impressive selection of races, there’s also a massive amount of playable classes. The available classes are Assassin, Bard, Mage, Marksman, Priest, Protector, Vampire and Warrior. Like other popular MMO games each class conforms to a regular MMORPG archetype, and they unlock new skills and abilities by leveling up. Levels are gained by earning experience points through various activities such as killing monsters, questing and earning achievements.
Another great feature of Forsaken World is the unique take on the PvP system. Unlike other MMO titles, you don’t get thrown into arena-based instanced PvP, instead you’re given a list of options so that you can control what style of PvP you want to participate in. Certain servers allow players to tweak their PvP settings so that they can engage in open world PvP, attacking enemy players in almost any area of the game world.
Forsaken World also features a very impressive crafting system. Players can choose from 14 different job skills that allow them to craft a massive variety of items, from weapons to armor sets and potions. There’s no limit on crafting so you don’t have to restrict yourself to just on or two job types, you can explore them all and eventually become totally self sufficient.
