Guild Wars 2 Continues To Build Steam Before Release
The upcoming subscription free MMO from NCSoft, Guild Wars 2, is rapidly approaching its August 28th launch date, however that hasn’t stopped the title from continuing to build up steam. Although not the official launch, players that have pre-ordered Guild Wars 2 will be able to jump in this Saturday, while everyone else will have to wait until after the weekend.
The recent Gamescom games convention was a huge success with record numbers in attendance and NCSoft picked up the coveted IGN People’s Choice Award. Thousands of gamers voted for their most anticipated game coming this year, but Guild Wars 2 beat competition from the likes of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, FIFA 13 and the highly anticipated Assassins Creed III. Visitors were able to vote for one title on a huge list of 50, but Guild Wars 3 scooped over 25% of those votes alone.
