Guild Wars 2 Leadboards Released
ArenaNet have just announced that the highly anticipated leaderboard update for their critically acclaimed, award-winning MMORPG game, Guild Wars 2. A new developer blog was posted that went into details on the stats tracked in the leaderboards for Guild Wars 2. The new feature will track player versus player, world versus world and achievements. To begin with only 100 players from each region have been included but this is set to change as the leaderboard matures.
The data counted for PvP is based around a single tournament style play. So players that participate in three-round tournaments or public matches will not change anything regarding the standings. This was done to allow players to cement their place in the leaderboards, rather than having hundreds jumping up and down every 5 minutes. Players must play a minimum of 10 games before they’re eligible to get on the leaderboard.
Here’s a breakdown of the different metrics:
Rank – Current position in standings based on PvP rating
Wins – Total ranked PvP match wins
Losses – Total ranked PvP match losses
Win Percentage – Percentage of ranked PvP match wins out of total ranked PvP matches played
