Guild Wars 2 Release Date Leaked
One of the most highly anticipated MMORPG games of 2012, Guild Wars 2, has potentially had a release date leak published on the Gamestop website, one of the biggest gaming retailers in America. The 6/26/2012 release date was added to the Guild Wars 2 Collectors Edition product on the Gamestop website shortly after the latest stress test event began for pre-purchase customers of Guild Wars 2.
Release date leaks aren’t all that rare in today’s gaming market, companies such as Amazon are constant culprits and certain GAME stores within the UK have even been found to be selling games prior to official release dates. With a title surrounded by as much hype as Guild Wars 2 has, gamers are crying out for some kind of official confirmation.
The information was first discovered by the folks over at Gamepur and although Gamestop aren’t usually the culprits of leaking a release date early, it does seem a bit strange the date was added shortly after the stress test event began.
