Guild Wars 2 Stress Test Planned For Monday 14th
If you had the same terrible luck I did and only got to play five hours of the last Guild Wars 2 beta weekend, I’ve got some great news. Arena.net have recently announced that they will be holding a stress test for Guild Wars 2 next week, May 14th, for roughly 7 hours between 11:00am to 6:00pm PDT. I’m sure you’re all thinking the same thing as I am, lets be sure to test what they want us to test and leave valuable feedback. Yeah right. I’m going straight for the WvW action, raining some fire on any who are foolish enough to think they can take my shiny new castle.
Sadly the event is only open to players that have already pre-purchased Guild Wars 2, so this is not an open public event like many were hoping for. The main goal of the stress test is to get as many players logged in as possible as Arena.net attempt to weed out some of the minor technical issues that were presented in the last open beta weekend. They have warned that players will likely experience lag and other issues during the stress test as they plan to have a lot of players running around the world of Guild Wars 2.
Another exciting bit of information is that they will not be wiping characters from previous beta events so anyone that’s managed to play Guild Wars 2 over the last few months can expect their character to return in all its former glory.
