Guild Wars 2 Review
One of the most appealing aspects to the upcoming Guild Wars 2 is the new approach to questing, known as The Dynamic Event System. Dynamic Events give the Guild Wars 2 world a feeling of depth and immersion unlike anything seen in the original title. Each Dynamic Event scales on the fly, meaning you can approach a Dynamic Event solo or with a group and the game will automatically adjust the difficulty to provide a challenging, but not impossible, experience. You could be exploring the green pastures of a field one day and see a thriving village, only to return later and see a burning pile of rubble. Each Dynamic Event can have an effect on the game world, creating an ever evolving experience that puts players in control of how they shape the Guild Wars 2 world.
Guild Wars 2 also pushes the genre forward in terms of combat. Removing the typical stat-tab based approach to fighting, Guild Wars 2 provides players with a skill-based combat experience as gear and weapons is second to player ability and intelligence. Dodge attacks, ambush enemies from the rear or adapt on the fly to difficult situations, all in real-time, intense battle situations. Players get a large selection of abilities when they start the game but further customization can be made as they increase in level, gaining racial abilities, healing skills, profession skills and the highly feared elite skill.
Engage is one of the most exciting PvP systems ever created in Guild Wars 2′s world vs. world combat. Participate in castle sieges, supply routes and other situations with hundreds of other players. Offering gear and experience as rewards, players can progress through the entire game just enjoying PvP, totally ignoring any PvE content if they choose to.
