Good: Happy Island offers casual players the opportunity to build and manage their own little island. There's a huge selection of buildings and attractions that players can build, creating more income for their island.
Bad: As with all Facebook games players may struggle to progress if they don't have friends playing as well. There's also a lot of delays as you wait for your properties to spawn extra cash.

You begin Happy Island by picking your Island style. Once you have selected your Island and naming it, you start with a certain amount of money to spend to start buying buildings for your island. Once you have sorted out your airport and a hotel, you will notice that people will start arriving on your island to spend time, and most importantly, money. By building attractions more people will want to come and stay on your island, be careful though! Visitors to your island tend to leave garbage behind, making the place look messy! Click on it to clean it up (this also gives experience points). Clicking on the buildings will give you the money that you have earned so far and also experience points. Experience points are vital for leveling up. This unlocks more items, decorations, hotels and attractions. Once you have enough experience points you can even unlock other islands.
You can add your Facebook friends on Happy Island to make them your neighbors. This will allow you to visit their island and collect the random treasure chest that always seems to be floating around the islands! This generally consists of coins. If you see something on your neighbors island that you like the look of, you can click it to purchase one for your own island too. You can also send and receive items and gifts from your friends, which is very useful if you are building something and need extra materials!
You can purchase special items in game with credits that are bought with real cash. This will allow you to get your hands on specially designed islands not otherwise available and loads of different styles of hotels, decorations and culture items.
