Hotfix applied to sooth Diablo III player issues
Blizzard released a list of hotfixes to which ends the cap of 72 hours and Level 13 for online players as we reported in our story Players spitting brimstone after Diablo 3 Patch blocks play up to 72 hours, caps at level 13. This new HOTFIX will address the many gameplay and service issues that have plagued Diablo 3 players since the games release. A Hotfix is an update on the game manufacturers end that does not require the player to download anything, such as a patch or DLC packet.
The 4 biggest complaints by forum goers within the game, not just a new acccount issue are:
Poor Itemization- Diablo 2 was a glory hole to collect gear and customize your characters. D3 has random itemized drops so its pretty grueling to gain anything nice. Due to the massive range of stats on Legendary items- some really blow. Like 692 damage two-handed weapons for a legendary item? The set items are even worse.
Poor Set Bonuses- Its not an incentive when there are only 4 bonuses in completing a level in Diablo 3, and they are trumped by many combos of 4 items. Diablo 2 gave GREAT set bonuses to collect and finish completion.
Poor replay value- As the mobs of Champions and Uniques are super hard to kill without much reason as the drops dont hold much, players end up skipping parts as there is no reason to play them.
Poor line drawn between Fantasy and Reality for the Auction House- hmmm…Diablo 3 makes it much much easier to just buy things instead of working and doing back breaking farm work to craft what you need….as you can just buy it. Sound familiar?
The new hotfixes go live the moment they are implemented so many will notice the changes already, or in a new Scooby Doo ending …they never happened for new players! If they havent corrected, Blizzard suggests your realm be restarted to have the changes take effect.
The Hotfix thread is being added too, so not every issue has been corrected. It is a start though at the fun-draining stop and go people have been through after the long wait for Diablo III. Check back on the Blizzard thread to see more updates as they are posted. It may just yet have a client-side update as some things are tough to implement this way.
