The choice is up to you.
Imperia Review
When you first enter the world of Imperia, you’re greeted by a very welcoming tutorial. Although the game follows many industry standards for the MMORTS genre, there are a number of unique features and the tutorial does a great job of easing new players in gently.
You begin with an empty village and a large amount of resources. Your first port of call is ensuring you have enough buildings to harvest valuable resources nearby. You do this by constructing a Lumber Mill, an Iron Mine and a Quarry. These allow you to harvest Wood, Iron and Stone, all of which are used to construct various buildings and train specific troops.
Imperia also boasts an impressive stat tracking system. Simply by checking your character profile you can upload a custom avatar, as well as checking how you stack up against other players. You can view your defensive victories and defeats, enemies killed and soldiers lost. These allow you to tweak your play style to improve your weaker areas.
Imperia is filled with thousands of other players, some just trying to survive the cut-throat PvP world, while others attempt world domination. You can spread your influence to other areas by founding new colonies, or defeating opposing players that block your path. There’s also a nice mechanic that allows you to scout nearby regions for rare resources such as Sugar Cane. Founding a new colony in these areas is highly beneficial, which leads to a lot of competition and PvP.
