MapleStory
Good: The best features of MapleStory? Well the fact the game has been enjoyed for almost a decade speaks for itself. Thousands of hours of content, hundreds of quests and millions of players will ensure you'll never have a dull moment in MapleStory.
Bad: The only real negative aspect to MapleStory from an MMO gamers point of view is the graphics. Although not bad, they don't really measure up to the realistic art style used in many of today's top MMO games.
MapleStory is a free to play, side-scrolling MMORPG that was originally released by Korean developers, Wizet, way back in 2003. Currently one of the longest running MMORPG’s on the planet, MapleStory has evolved to provide players with both intense PvP and thorough PvE content. Thanks to over a decade of content updates and improvements the game is now one of the most popular online, with millions of registered players and hundreds of thousands of active accounts.

One of the reasons MapleStory has been so successful for this length of time is the in-depth class and character progression system. All players start their adventure as a Beginner, a classless character that has yet to sample the wonders of the Maple World universe. Once you’ve completed the trials on Maple Island you can head to Victoria Island, this is where you make a decision on which class route you would like to take.
One of the favorite features among players in MapleStory is the unique pet system. It’s not a rare thing to see in today’s top MMORPG games but the system in MapleStory doesn’t just involve cosmetic pets, they can actually be useful to the adventurer. There’s a large variety of pets to choose from, but each pet is identical in terms of skills and abilities. Many may see this as a negative factor, but it actually means you can pick a pet that is visually appealing, rather than 1000 players running around with the same looking pet because it’s the strongest. Pets can aid you in combat, and level alongside your main character, getting stronger as your bond grows.
With almost 10 years worth of updates, MapleStory has so much content available that even the most hardcore players will be entertained constantly. Whether you want to try the intense PvP, enjoy the hundreds of available quests, or just relax with friends, you can do it all in MapleStory.
