New DayZ Devblog Released
Dean “Rocket” Hall and Bohemia Interactive today released a brand new devblog video for the highly anticipated, DayZ. The zombie survival horror MMO game impressed fans the world over when it released as a mod for the popular Arma II. Since that time the developers revealed DayZ, the standalone version that borrows basic MMO elements to provide a new experience for zombie fans.
Fans were expecting the opportunity to sample the game in the promised alpha testing phase. Sadly the alpha period has been delayed due to unforeseen issues with game development. One aspect of the delay is the multiplayer bubble. This new system allows the game client to load only nearby features, items and players, opposite from the original DayZ that loaded the entire map all the time.
Other reasons behind the delay, as well as some new features, can be seen below in the latest devblog video.
