Players Express Concern Over Unprofessional The War Z Developers
The War Z opened to pre-purchase players on October 15th and it has already been slated for lack of features and poor technical state, but a large number of players have also expressed concerns of a different nature. The main complaints from players over this issue involves the lack of professionalism from the developers on both the main website and their Facebook profile.
One of the biggest concerns was with the original Terms & Conditions and NDA file that players had to agree to before playing. Usually the majority of players won’t bother to read the full wall of text, but a few players with a keen eye noticed a rather strange typing error in the NDA.

It’s hard to make it out with this image but the highlighted section included a direct link to the League of Legends website. This link was seen a number of times in the T&C agreement, prompting many to believe it was a direct copy.
A number of other players have expressed concerns over the language used by the developers on both Facebook and the official forums
Okay – CODE9 when creating character means that somebody already created character with this name. OUR BAD for such shitty message – we’ll fix that tomorrow!
Confusing as people are playing a gory game, you’d think they would be fine with a bit of language but apparently it’s not for everyone. So what are your thoughts? Should developers be more real or is there a certain professional line that you just don’t cross?
Im no DayZ fanboy, in fact I haven’t even played it yet as the Arma II mod. Though I have watched countless dorky hours of gameplay. Without question, my money is on the Dayz standalone. I couldnt give a shit about the TOS fiasco or who had the “IDEA” first. The proof is in the finished product and these hammerpoint guys seen like a bunch of douchey unprofessional college grads who are probably snorting thick lines of coke with the proceeds from their crappy PRE PRE Alpha sales. This game has a huge huge huge….HUGE way to go before it even manages to crawl up to brush their nicotine stained fingers on the gate from where Dayz standalone will have already started its marathon.
Dayz has such a solid base covered by PROFESSIONAL devs and artists that have been hands on with all aspects of this engine for over 10 years. No “fly-by-night” game Dev like hammerpoint can compete with this. Could this crappy old WAR INC. engine even come close to pushing what the modded Arma II engine can? Not a damned chance in hell. Hammerpoint must hide its weaknesses with mountains and fog.
“Ourbad for such a shitty message” ? Fucking really? What a bunch of douchebag losers. How much more bloody unprofessional can one be?This sums up hammerpoint (and I am sure their view of a business model as well) right away and they will not see one damned penny of my cash. I knew waiting was the right path to take.
I don’t mind it, personally. It may be unprofessional, but I haven’t seen anything I would consider directly disrespectful, and in any case, the devs have more than made up for it by listening to the community and both admitting where they were wrong and how they plan to fix it. They seem to really be trying to connect with their community,
