Red Stone
Good: There's a common preconception that suggests 2D games are simple. That is simply not the case with Red Stone. This wonderfully animated 2D MMORPG boasts an amazing amount of depth and is well worth playing for those looking to learn complex mechanics.
Bad: Although the graphics do compliment the game play and art style, they're not for everyone. Fans of 3D MMORPG games may feel a little disappointed with the 2D approach used in Red Stone, despite the fact that it does compliment the game brilliantly.
The continent of Prandel was once a thriving world filled with peaceful citizens and respected wild life. However in June 4423, this all changed forever. The citizens of Prandel awoke to a blood red sky covering the entire planet. 500 years on and people still talk about that day with some recalling the falling of the skies while others talk about a mysterious Red Stone that fell to the planet. One of the most exciting features of Red Stone is the highly versatile class system. Stepping away from the typical 1 character, 1 class combination of the MMO world, Red Stone provides a more advanced feature that offers players more durability and versatility in combat. There are a total of 8 base classes in the game, from Tamers to Necromancers and Priests, each come complete with an exciting selections of weapons and armor, as well as a devastating list of skills and abilities. The true uniqueness of this class system comes into play when players transform into an alternate class. All of the 8 base classes come with a secondary class that players can switch to freely. It’s basically like playing 2 completely unique classes at the same time. This is especially useful during difficult boss battles or dungeons as players can change to a different selection of abilities.
As if a totally unique approach to a class system wasn’t enough Red Stone boasts a variety of other intriguing features. Players can participate in countless quests, fighting difficult enemies and taking on bosses. All the while enjoying the huge variety of abilities available to each class, as well as the explosive combat and cute animations. It may be 2D, but this free MMORPG game packs a punch.
