Resident Evil 6 Demo Now Available On PS3 And Xbox360
The time has finally arrived. The thousands of fans that have been waiting to sample the latest survival horror masterpiece from Capcom now have the opportunity as the Resident Evil 6 demo has just hit the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Players can download the new demo through Xbox Live and the Playstation Store. Resident Evil 6 will feature 3 main campaigns at launch and the demo gives players the chance to sample all 3, and best of all, they can all be played either solo or online co-op.
Explore the campaigns of Leon S, Kennedy or Helena Harper as you delve deeper into the dark corridors of Ivy University, the latest victim of a devastating bio-terrorist attack. Jake will take a more open world approach as players can explore the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as they’re attacked by new J’avo enemies. The final campaign, and arguably the most anticipated, sees franchise favorite Chris Redfield explore the ruin filled streets of Edonia.
The question on many players minds, is this actually the Resident Evil we’ve all come to love? Or is this another poor attempt at an action game that clearly belongs in the survival horror genre? One thing is certain, Resident Evil did not manage to impress many with the poor release of Raccoon City, now it’s up to Resident Evil 6 to restore some pride to one of the most popular survival horror franchise titles of all time.
Resident Evil 6 will be available on both the Xbox 360 and PSN throughout Europe and North America on October 2nd, a PC version is also planned for release but there’s no date available yet.
