Rift Online
Originally launching back in March 2011, Rift Online had quite the struggle for the first few months after release. Within two months developers, Trion Worlds, were forced to close many servers and merge others, a move that many thought spelled doom for the Fantasy MMORPG. However, in August Trion Worlds announced that over 1 million gamers had tried Rift Online and a few months later, in January, they announced that the game had earned $100 million dollars.
Rift Online Review
Rift Online is home to 2 warring factions in the form of the Guardians and Defiants, with each offering players a different selection of playable races. The Guardians consist of Dwarves, High Elves and Mathosian, while the Defiants offer more unique races such as Bahmi, Eth and Kelari. Each race also has access to a large number of features and Rift Online’s best asset, The Ascended Class System.
The Ascended Class System offers an unprecedented amount of freedom when customizing and progressing with your character, allowing you to create a hero with a huge amount of different abilities. There are four base Ascended Souls in Rift Online, Warrior, Cleric, Mage, and Rogue. These form the basic builds of every hero in the game and conform with regular MMORPG archetypes. Each of these has access to 8 further classes, combining to offer a total 32 playable classes in the game. As players increase in level and progress through Rift Online their hero can become more skilled at attuning souls, giving them the option of branching out and including skills and abilities from 3 different classes. Players can step out of their base class and explore branches from the other basic Ascended Souls, offering a totally immersive build construction feature.
One of the main focuses in Rift Online is the intense PvP, available to all players after level 10, there are a number of modes to entertain all walks of PvP fans. The first of the modes, Warfronts, offers instanced PvP for players level 10-50. The victorious team from each Warfront unlocks a special resource or perk for their faction, creating meaningful PvP with a purpose. The more exciting PvP option, Conquest, is available exclusively for level 50 characters and has players competing in various aspects of next-gen PvP including spreading warfare, PvE objectives, crafting goals, land-control mechanics,

Nice review. It ended very abruptly to me, but good non the less. I would also add it’s end game content is massive & ever increasing month by month. Starting the game new now you’ll def not get bored with things to do.
Hey Vhan, thanks for your kind words
This is just meant as a features review, giving players a rundown on some of the more exciting aspects of the game. We’ll cover things like end-game content and PvP more in-depth once we publish a full review
