Unlike your typical MMO approach to character creation and customization, Rusty Hearts doesn’t use a class system. Instead you can select from 8 distinct characters, all of which have their own detailed background story and devastating skills and abilities. Each character can also choose between using 2 different weapons, in a similar way to Guild Wars 2 the weapons a character uses directly influences the skills and abilities they have available. As players progress through the game they get offered a choice to specialize with certain weapons, this is a highly important aspect of a characters development. Your choice of weapon will change the type of MMORPG class archetype that you become, such as support, tank or damage dealer. This unique feature creates almost endless replay value as players can roll the same character and choose a completely different progression path.

One of the favorite features among the player base is the fast-paced PvP. Players can join PvP battles at any time while playing through Rusty Hearts, getting the option of competing in 4 unique PvP modes. There’s your typical Deathmatch Mode, VIP Mode, Tag Team and Survival Mode.
