SD Gundam Online Bingo Event
Bingo Time!
Today marks the first day in SD Gundam Online’s new event, which will run from today until August 5th. That’s right, there is an event running close to a month and a half long, what could it be? Well. Every day is a chance to earn a ‘shield’ by doing something in game. For Gundam, it’s to log in and play a certain kind of pvp match (one that is rarely played at all) 5 times. And for each line you make on the bingo card, you get a prize!
So to get all the prizes, you have to log in and do a certain task each day. That isn’t too bad, right?
Oh, the task doesn’t change at all? (Yet) Well, I guess being forced to play a gametype that I don’t normally play is alright…..
Remember how this runs until August? Logging in each day doesn’t seem too bad until the time is thought of. Just simply log in every day, after all. For 49 days straight. Cough.
In honesty: This event was launched today and seems to have been thought out, well, mildly poor at best. I game a lot, but having to log in and do the same thing for 49 days straight to get the grand prize is a bit…old style to me. This isn’t a WoW daily, after all.
And except for the grand prize offered (a custom suit that was only a raffle prize before), the prizes for getting a ‘bingo’ (which is a week straight of play or logging in 7 different days spread over the event to make a line, such as logging in seven Mondays) is very, very mediocre.
The custom suit is pretty sweet though….
