Silkroad Online Celebrates Impressive 15th Anniversary
Joymax, leading online game developer widely known for innovative titles such as Digimon Masters and Knight Age, have just announced that their premier MMORPG, Silkroad Online, has just reached an epic milestone with an almost unimaginable 15 years of service. In today’s slightly shaky MMO industry it’s common to find brand new games disappearing down the gutter within months of release, but it’s rare we get to enjoy such a momentous occasion such as this one.
Silkroad Online is one of the longest running free online RPG game services in MMO history, and is one of the very few that has managed to avoid any long-term interruptions to service through changing publishers and other time consuming changes. To celebrate this massive occasion Joymax are sponsoring a number of events and competitions to please both new and veteran players alike.
“When we opened the doors to Silkroad Online in 1997, we had no idea we would one day be celebrating fifteen years of active service!” said Nam-Chul Kim, CEO of Joymax. “It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating the tenth anniversary, which in and of itself is a huge milestone. Beginning September 19th, Joymax will launch a number of events surrounding Silkroad Online, including the opportunity for a players designs to be created in-game as actual clothing items. More details on the competitions and events will be released in coming days.
