South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge hits Xbox Arcade this week
Do I smell chili? Prepare for the revenge of Scott Tenorman. Get out your Microsoft points! For only 800 Microsoft Points this Friday, March 30; you can get South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge as it hits Xbox Arcade.
After a lackluster release in 2009 of South Park Let’s Go Tower Defense Play , THQ and Obsidian are working on a new South Park RPG exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade, but that won’t be the only South Park game hitting consoles this year. The Comic Con panel last Oct announced the game and had a Q and A with its developers.
In development for release of new download-only platformer, Ocean Interactive and South Park Digital Studios has it so fans can play as Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny as they travel through time and space scenarios for the untimate battle Scott Tenorman(will it be a Chili cookoff?) and his army of soulless Ginger robots. The game’s multi-player co-op features allow players to team up with up to four other players locally or through Xbox LIVE to save “South Park.”
The game is highly anticipated by the Comedy Central series and current RPG fans alike in that it features over 20 levels of co-op, drop-in/drop-out gameplay. In a recent press release, fans voted SP as “The Greatest Animated TV Series” in a poll conducted by Entertainment Weekly, COMEDY CENTRAL’s “South Park” launched on August 13, 1997 and premiered its 15th season on April 27. The series airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. and repeats later that night at midnight (all times ET/PT). To celebrate the 15th season of “South Park,” COMEDY CENTRAL and South Park Digital Studios are honoring the fans that have turned the award-winning series into a cultural phenomenon with a year-long celebration. “South Park” will also host on-going contests and interactive elements at SouthParkStudios.com .
