The War Z Survivor Access Off To A Rocky Start
The War Z has stirred up the MMO community, and not always in positive way. Some have said the developers are highly unprofessional, others have accused them of being crooked and one particulate Youtube user even compared them to child molesters. However, through all the doubt and the abuse the development team stand proudly as they continue to update and push their zombie survival MMO into new territory.
On October 31st they opened up the game to players that purchased the Survival Pack, however they didn’t move to the closed beta period as originally planned. The game is now open to all players that purchase any of the available packages but closed beta is now expected to start closer to the end of November. The game received a huge array of updates and fixes over the Halloween period introducing news areas of the map, Halloween themed zombies and a rework of the item and weapon spawning system.
Things were going great until the servers came under a heavy DDoS earlier today, bringing down the majority of the servers for a good few hours. Things are running a little smoother currently but there’s still a number of problems with players being unable to find server slots. A lot of players are still unsure about the future of The War Z. Does it have the substance to stand proudly in the MMO community or will the hype fade away with the release of the DayZ Stand Alone? Leave your thoughts below.
