UK Pokémon Trading Card Game Champions Have Been Crowned
The end of the UK Pokémon Trading Card Game competition is upon us and the winners have just been announced. The winners will be jetting off to the iconic Pokémon World Championship held in Hawaii this August. The UK Championships were held at The Pavilion in Kettering’s Wicksteed Park. The competition brings the greatest Pokémon players from around the UK together, to find the greatest that will eventually challenge for the most coveted TCG title in the world, Pokémon Trading Card World Champions.
Players from as young as 10 took part in the competition, and with hundreds of participants, it was an intense tournament. Full details on the outcome of each bracket can be viewed below.
Junior Division (born 2001 or later):
1. Place: Zoe Kennington (age 10)
2. Place: Omar Ben-Gacen (age 10)
3. Place: Nathaniel Majakas (age 11)
4. Place: Charlie Vale (age 11)
Senior Division (born 1997-2000):
1. Place: Ryan Moorhouse (age 13)
2. Place: Philip Rowley (age 13)
3. Place: Sam Marshall-Smith (age 14)
4. Place: Rhys Williams (age 13)
Masters Division (born 1996 or earlier):
1. Place: Alex Northey (age 16)
2. Place: Karl Blake (age 20)
3. Place: Sami Sekkoum (age 22)
4. Place: Matt Blower (age 21)
