War of Legends is a free to play MMORTS title from the publishers of the award winning MMORPG Runescape. Jagex have taken their recipe of success from their MMORPG and translated the features over to an intensely strategic MMORTS, War of Legends.

War of Legends uses the common hero system found in other MMORTS games but adds more RPG depth and features to it. Once you’ve constructed your first sanctuary, you’re able to summon a variety of Heroes and recruit them into your pavilion. Each Hero acts as the general to your forces as you can assign them troops to take into battle. Each victory on the battlefield will earn your Hero experience and allow them to increase in level, adding extra stats.

War of Legends also includes a fresh approach to questing systems called Tasks. Players can receive a huge variety of tasks that allow them to complete certain objectives in exchange for experience points and resources. There are two main task types, Daily Tasks and Novice Tasks. Novice Tasks are especially for new players and it teaches them various aspects of the game such as base construction and management, as well as a variety of other skills. Daily Tasks are used more by long-term players as it rewards them on a daily basis for completing certain objectives.

War of Legends is filled with thousands of other players so you’ll never have to play alone. Players can form or join a large group of gamers known as Alliances. Alliances are featured heavily in War of Legends as they can traverse across the game world taking down and occupying Strongholds, other players and AI controlled wild lands. Whether you want to fight for global domination or secure your own little corner of the globe, it’s all possible in War of Legends.
