One of the most important aspects of Wargame 1942 is technology. Every player is able to construct a University, a vital building that houses all of the possible technological upgrades for each player. Presented via a user friendly interface the University provides players with all the information they need to expand and improve their military forces. Maybe you want to be able to train a squadron of highly trainer Snipers? Then you’ll need to ensure you research Wireless Technology and train Foot Troops. Or perhaps you’d rather make your infantry more powerful with the Grenade Launcher technology? That requires Axis Technology upgrades. Each upgrade also requires specific buildings that must be built before the technology becomes available.

Another great feature of Wargame 1942, and one of the favorites among the player base, is the extensive achievement system. There are dozens of achievements that players can complete, each requiring different prerequisites and offering different rewards. Players are rewarded for performing a huge variety of actions including constructing certain buildings, training a certain number of units, joining and alliance and many more.

Wargame 1942 also comes with a highly interactive world map. Unlike the typical fantasy MMORTS games, Wargame 1942 provides players with a realistic view of the world in the way it would have been in the 1940s.
