World Of Tanks
World of Tanks is a World War II themed MMOTPS title from Wargaming.net, the same development team behind other highly anticipated World War II based games, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships. In World of Tanks players control their very own historically accurate tank and engage in highly intense PvP matches with other players from across the globe. The game is session based, meaning players join via a lobby and enter an instance to play each match, World of Tanks also holds the current world record for the most simultaneous players on one MMO server.
World of Tanks Review
There are 5 distinct types of tanks in World of Tanks, Light Tanks, Medium Tanks, Heavy Tanks, Tank Destroyers and SPG’s (artillery). There’s a huge variety of models for each tank type with each of the 5 nations having access to dozens of tanks within each type. There are regular updates that introduce new tanks and nations but World of Tanks currently features Chinese, French, Soviet, German and American tanks. Each tank type is separated into tiers, with the maximum tier currently sitting at level 10. In order to unlock tanks in higher tiers, players must first accumulate the correct amount of experience points and cash. It can be tough as each tank can be upgraded using a variety of items, but spending cash and experience points on upgrades makes it take longer to unlock higher tier tanks. In general, the higher the tier of tank, the more dangerous it is on the battlefield.
World of Tanks is arguably one of the most tactical and strategical MMOTPS titles available online. Offering players a huge variety of customizable tanks, a highly active 24/7 community and an array of in-game events and clan competitions, World of Tanks is currently the dominant force in the World War II MMO genre.
